Inspiring artists to live BIG DREAMS in their community

Hi there!

I’m so glad you stopped by for a visit.

As a young girl growing up on a Wyoming ranch, neighbors would stop by to visit my parents. My mom would start a fresh pot of coffee and bring out a plate of cookies, a piece of pie, or freshly baked bread. While enjoying the refreshments, my parents and the fellow rancher would discuss various duties like bailing hay, and sorting heifers. When the last sweet crumbs were scraped up with a silver fork, a date was set to help each other move cattle to another pasture.

Since the early days of settling the wild west, camaraderie was needed for survival. People depended upon each other for help, encouragement, and support as they created a new life. Their Individual stories intertwined to tell of the history of their collective journeys. I see this as a necessity for artists too.

I wrote the book, Abandoning the Road to Hollywood: How to Thrive as an Artist in Your Local Community”, relying on my ten year experience of leading and mentoring artists. The purpose of the book is to inspire artists to realize their dreams right where they live.

To achieve those creative aspirations, I draw on the wisdom of the old west code of camaraderie to help, encourage and support each other. Thriving as an artist just might depend on it
